Grand Sichuan is a szechuan in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is listed at 342 Grove St, Jersey City, NJ 07302, which places it among the local businesses of Jersey City that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under chinese restaurant, delivery restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Jersey City; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New Jersey are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 amโ9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (201) 451-1960. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is spicespiritjc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 880 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Jersey City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great Sichuan food in Jersey City! The crawfish was fresh, sweet, and full of flavor. We came a little late and some flavors were already sold out, so ordering ahead is a good idea. The spicy fish was tender with a rich broth, and the beef with pickled peppers went perfectly with rice. Definitely coming back.

Came here with friends and ordered way too much foodโฆ no regrets ๐ The crawfish were the highlight. We got both the spicy and garlic flavors. The spicy crawfish had great flavor and a good kick without being overwhelming. The garlic version was rich and packed with sauce. The portions were huge โ we even took leftovers home and turned them into pasta the next day. The Mao Xue Wang was exactly what youโd want from a Sichuan restaurant: flavorful, loaded with ingredients, and perfect for sharing. We also tried the Mala Chicken Wings, which ended up being a pleasant surprise. The wings were smaller, which actually made them more flavorful, and the lotus root and potatoes soaked up all the seasoning. The restaurant got busy quickly on the weekend, so Iโd recommend coming early. Great spot if youโre craving bold Sichuan flavors. ๐ถ๏ธ

Amazing Sichuan food in New Jersey! ๐ถ๏ธ The grilled fish was super flavorful with the perfect spicy and numbing taste, and the fish was really tender. The Tengjiao beef was one of my favorites โ very fragrant, juicy, and great with rice. The mapo tofu was also so good and very authentic. Everything tasted fresh, portions were big, and the flavors were strong in the best way. Definitely one of the better Sichuan spots Iโve tried recently. They also have an online order promotion with free e-gift cards, and Motherโs Day specials with gifts too ๐๐ Great place for family dinners or spicy food lovers!

Loved this place! The spicy chicken is super crispy and packed with bold, authentic Sichuan flavor โ definitely brings the heat. Also highly recommend the green peppercorn beef and the mala grilled fish โ both are flavorful, numbing, and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Highly recommend their seasonal crawfish โ a true must-try! The classic flavors have been perfected over the years, and you have to get both the spicy mala ๐ถ๏ธ and garlic ๐ง versions. Each crawfish is packed with big, clean, and bouncy meat โ super fresh, and you can really taste the quality. I was told theyโre flown in from Louisiana, which totally makes sense. They only use natural spices, and every bite is incredibly satisfying. What I love most is their open kitchen โ you can see everything being freshly cooked. The crawfish are carefully cleaned by hand and well-selected, which makes the whole experience even more reassuring. Their Sichuan dishes are also excellent. The Mao Xue Wang and mala chicken wings are super flavorful and go perfectly with rice. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
